There had been some rumors floating around that a bar was going to be built at the exit of The Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Many have asked me about it, and now it appears as if those rumors are going to go away as it’s not happening.
A while back, the news that a bar was being built at the exit of Tower of Terror was made known by WDWNT. While there may have been some internal discussion and some plans talked about, Disney had never officially said anything publicly.
Some areas at the exit of the DHS attraction had been cleared out and it appeared as if these plans may have been going through. Now, WDWNT is reporting that Disney has squashed all of these plans and the bar at the exit of Tower simply isn’t happening.
Apparently, the merchandising team was not overly keen on a bar going in near their successful store location at the exit of Tower of Terror.
This is not to say that a bar won’t open nearby or in another location, but as of now, that isn’t happening inside Tower of Terror. Many have asked me questions about this, and it was hard to say much considering Disney had never given an official word.
It will be interesting to see if anything different comes in the future, but for now, the reported bar plans at ToT have been squashed.
