With all of the news of grand openings happening today, the hours for Disney’s Animal Kingdom have quietly been extended and for the next few months.
Many have been waiting for it, and now Disney has finally extended the hours at Animal Kingdom to go further into the night so Guests can enjoy all the new nighttime activities.
Up until today, the hours had only been extended into the night through June. Today, Disney extended them Sept. 5, 2016.
Now, Animal Kingdom will be closing at 11 p.m. each night through the rest of the summer.
There is still no word on Rivers of Light or when it could possibly debut, but there are other new nighttime events to enjoy such as the lighting of the Tree of Life, the nighttime Kilimanjaro Safaris tours, and “The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic” which all begin Memorial Day weekend.
The “Jungle Book” show is only an interim event that will likely go away once Rivers of Light makes its debut.
