Rumor: Ticket Increase And Tiered Pricing Coming To Walt Disney World And Disneyland Very Soon

It happens every single year so it really shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, but it appears the Disney Parks’ ticket price increases are coming very soon. Not only that, but it looks as if tiered ticket pricing is indeed coming to both Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

It is expected that the ticket price increase for both Walt Disney World and Disneyland is going to be happening on Sunday. The increase will happen on all length and forms of Disney tickets and that includes annual passes.

Now, whispers of both Disneyland and Walt Disney World moving to a tiered pricing system which will have seasonal pricing for the parks. Word is spreading fast and WDWNT has also heard of this becoming a reality as of Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016.

If the seasonal pricing goes into effect, one-day tickets will be available in three forms:

  • Value
  • Regular
  • Peak

As of this writing, it is not known how the pricing will differ or what times of year will fall into which of the three seasons.

It’s also not known what the overall increase will be on tickets at Disneyland or Walt Disney World.

Surveys were going out to Guests at Walt Disney World last year and asking their opinions on tiered pricing.

Please note that Disney has not yet commented, spoken on, or confirmed any of this. It is not expected that they would until they are ready to announce and officially release the information. That being said, the ticket price increase, tiered pricing, and date could always change.
