UPDATE #2 (Oct. 28, 2016 – 10:30 a.m.): It appears as if the email sent out to all Disney Travel Planners/Agencies on Tuesday was wrong. Sources from within Magic Kingdom has said that this year’s castle lighting theme is still Frozen. While some dialogue may have changed a little from last year, it is still Frozen characters, and rehearsals are underway already.

The information sent out via email by Disney was incorrect.

UPDATE #1 (Oct. 27, 2015 – 8 p.m.): Some have messaged me saying that the Frozen Holiday Wish is indeed returning and that the information released below by Disney is incorrect. The information below is directly from Disney on Oct. 27, 2015, in an email sent out. The official Walt Disney World website has also been changed to show the Fairy Godmother’s return instead of Frozen Holiday Wish.

Here is a screenshot from Oct. 27, 2015. Guess all we can do is wait and see.

Also, the official calendar on the Disney website shows Frozen Holiday Wish happening on party nights at 8 p.m., but nothing happening on any other nights. Please check Update #2 above.

Note: The information about the “Castle Dream Lights” is what was sent out via an official Disney email, but sources within Magic Kingdom state it is a Frozen-themed show again this year.

Comments

  1. They are *not* going back to Fairy Godmother. The Disney Experience website had the Fair Godmother information last year even though it was replaced by Frozen. They just haven’t updated their Christmas Party page.

As proof, if you go to the MK list of activities starting Nov 5, you’ll see the Frozen Castle-Lighting show listed at 6:15 PM each night. That gets repeated during the MVMCP.

    Peace.
