Many Guests like to customize their MagicBands with paint or designs or stick-ons and things like that, but soon, Disney will soon help you do all of that. MagicBands On Demand is coming soon to Magic Kingdom and will allow you to create your own designs.
UPDATE: The Disney Parks Blog confirmed on Friday that the new location for MagicBands On Demand is open in Tomorrowland.
A Disney Parks Blog post was apparently released accidentally on Thursday morning and then pulled down, but not before it was seen.
It spoke of MagicBands On Demand which will soon be starting at Magic Kingdom and then probably spreading out across property. The new program will allow Guests to put some custom (from a selection) designs on MagicBands in the color of their choosing….even purple.
Guests will also be able to put their name on the outside of the MagicBand too.
There are going to be over 40 designs when the first location in the Tomorrowland Power & Light Co. launches. That’t the building at the exit of Space Mountain for those that aren’t aware.
MagicBands On Demand will have bands with no name sold at a cost of $21.95 and and those with names for $29.95 each. As of now, it is not believed that these customized MagicBands will not have any special types of light or sound when used at touchpoints.
Some designs include Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, it’s a small world, Splash Mountain, and more. Who knows how many combinations will be possible, but this is really awesome.
An exact start date has not yet been revealed, but as Magic Band Collectors said, it could be any day that MagicBands On Demand begins and gets going.
