Just about two weeks ago, Pecos Bill Tale Tale Inn & Cafe in Magic Kingdom got a brand new menu, and now another location is getting the same. Tortuga Tavern in Adventureland will be changing over its menu starting tomorrow.
Beginning on Oct. 14, 2015, the Adventureland dining location (seasonal, don’t forget seasonal) is getting a brand new menu. As the Tex-Mex food has moved over to Pecos Bill, Tortuga Tavern will be getting something rather different for Magic Kingdom.
The Disney Parks Blog explains it best:
New menu items include barbecue sandwiches with either pulled pork, sliced beef brisket or grilled chicken breast, all served on Texas toast with beans and cole slaw. Vegetarians, or anyone looking for a lighter meal will enjoy the roasted corn and vegetable salad, served with vinaigrette dressing. Barbecue beef brisket or chicken can also be added to the salad.

Disney is obviously trying to give some different quick service options throughout the parks and Tortuga Tavern’s new menu is a clear sign of that. Again, Tortuga is open seasonally and it’s rather random. If it is open, it’s usually during busier times of year but it can also be on non-busy days too.
On a day when Tortuga Tavern is open, it’s usually only open until 3:30 p.m., but hours have been extended before.
