Just a few days ago, Disney revealed details about Season of the Force at Disneyland and what Guests will be able to enjoy. We’ve all been waiting on an announcement for Season of the Force at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and it seems that Disney may have leaked it on accident.
The Adult Side of Disney noticed that the dates for the Walt Disney World version of Season of the Force were possibly released by accident on the official Disney Passholder site.
Disneyland’s version starts on Nov. 16, 2015, and signage at Disney’s Hollywood Studios says that the Star Wars Launch Bay is “coming in December.”
It’s not guaranteed that the dates of Jan. 8 – Mar. 20, 2016, will be the final and confirmed dates for Season of the Force, but it certainly seems like it. Disney still has those dates up so maybe it wasn’t a total accident, but they’re just not ready to make the big announcement for Disney’s Hollywood Studios yet.
Expect Disney to say something more official for WDW’s version like they did for Disneyland.
Now, the interesting thing to notice here is that Season of the Force looks to be ending in late March. This may put a little bit of ease to everyone about Star Wars Weekends in 2016 which the official Disney website still says is happening.
Many believe that Disney will do away with Star Wars Weekends now with all the changes of Star Wars Land and Season of the Force, but the latter doesn’t overlap with typical SWW dates from mid-May to mid-June.
Star Wars Weekends dates are usually revealed in early December. If Disney hasn’t made some other type of announcement about SWW and the dates aren’t out by mid-December, then maybe we can start wondering what’s going on.
For now, it appears as if Guests at Walt Disney World will get Season of the Force and Star Wars Weekends in 2016, and that…that’s some warm and fuzzy Force feelings.
