Disney Springs is almost officially here. It has now been confirmed that Downtown Disney’s rebranding to Disney Springs will officially happen later this month even though changes have been underway for quite some time.
The name change had already been happening a little bit here and there, but Disney Springs will become official as of Sept. 29, 2015.
For weeks and months now, the changes have begun at Disney Springs with the new parking garage, the construction of the second one, the opening of The BOATHOUSE, the opening of Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, new stores, and many other changes.
Morimoto Asia is set to open on Sept. 30, 2015, which is the day after the name rebranding.
Signs have started going up all around the Downtown Disney and Disney West Side area. The road signs on Disney property highways have all now been changed to say “Disney Springs.”
The official name change of Downtown Disney to Disney Springs will take place on Sept. 29, 2015, and Disney is moving into the future. All work is expected to be completed sometime in 2016, but new openings will be happening along the way.
