Aloha! Summer is coming to a close, but there are still a few days left to enjoy. How about a tropical drink from one of the newest bars at the Walt Disney World Resort to celebrate? Head on over to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to enjoy a Spikey Pineapple at Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace.
After walking around the Parks in the heat and humidity, doesn’t an adult version of the Dole Whip sound refreshing? The Spikey Pineapple is a delicious combination of pineapple soft serve blended to perfection with Barbancourt Pango Rhum. It tastes almost exactly like the Disney favorite Dole Whip and is perfect for those hot summer days.
The Spikey Pineapple can only be enjoyed at Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace, not Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto, which is the outdoor patio section. The tropical oasis provides umbrella-topped seating along with surfboard tables, lush foliage, and tiki statues with a spectacular view of the Seven Seas Lagoon. A calming waterfall further immerses you into paradise as a musician playing music from the islands adds to the overall ambiance. What enhances the whole experience at Trader Sam’s is the Cast. Skippers (waiters) entertain with jokes from The Jungle Cruise and are always having a good time.
