For those that are in Walt Disney World this weekend, you need to be prepared for some big crowds as the runDisney folks are in town for the Disney Marathon 2015. With the larger crowds, road closures, and events, there will also be some changes to the operating schedule for the Disney Monorail system.
Please refer to the following schedule for the Monorail as it will be this way for the next five days.
Let it be known that bus and boat transportation is also available, and it will be increased during times when the Monorail is not in operation during the day.
January 7 2015
- Express Beam – 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. to close
- Resort Beam – 7 a.m. to close
- Epcot Beam – 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. to close
January 8 2015
- Express Beam – 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. to close
- Resort Beam – 3 a.m. to close
- Epcot Beam – 3 a.m. to 12 p.m.and 5 p.m. to close
January 9 2015
- Express Beam – 8:30 a.m. to close
- Resort Beam – 3 a.m. to close

- Resort Beam – 3 a.m. to close

Aside from the Monorail operating hour changes, there are already electronic road signs on property advising of road closures and detours. Please be aware that getting around property over the next five days may take a bit longer than usual so always leave in enough time for reservations and such.
