Guests were not too happy when they found out that the Haunted Mansion would be undergoing a refurbishment for the first half of December. Well, some can thrill in the fact that it’s already open and looking for more happy haunts.
The Haunted Mansion actually reopened to guests on the evening of Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014, and is open again on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014. As of now, it doesn’t seem as if there is a whole lot of difference from when it closed for refurbishment on December 1.
As of now, it doesn’t seem like the much-talked about on-ride photo system has been put in. Maybe it has, and it simply isn’t active yet, but it didn’t show up at any point during the ride…especially at the Hitchhiking Ghosts mirrors at the end. That was the rumored location for it.
Things look touched up throughout the queue line and through the ride, and all seems to be in good working order. It will be interesting to see if that on-ride photo op ever comes into existence.
