There is a lot going on around the Downtown Disney area as it is being transformed into Disney Springs. Yes, it’s going to become quite expansive and awesome, but the construction is causing some issues now. Such is the case with the main parking lot entrance now closed off.
The main entrance – Entrance 1 – on the Downtown Disney Marketplace side is closed to incoming traffic.
Yes, the main entrance across from Disney Casting is closed to incoming traffic, but it is still being used as a parking lot exit.
This is the entrance that is right next to World of Disney and the main center of Downtown Disney.
To get closest to the Marketplace side of Downtown Disney, guests must now enter through Entrance 2, the one across from the Hess Gas Station. From there, signs and Disney Cast Members will direct you along the internal roads to get over to the World of Disney parking lot.
Just yesterday, it was reported here that Downtown Disney and Typhoon Lagoon would have some bus route changes soon…you’ve got to really keep track of everything.
As many have been able to see, a lot of work is being done at Downtown Disney as parking garages are being built and roadways are being expanded.
Disney Springs is expected to fully open in 2016, but some locations and such will begin opening as they are completed. It’s going to be a bit of a mess around Downtown Disney until all is said and done so always be prepared for changes and detours.
