Disney Names Jon Turteltaub As Director For ‘it’s a small world’ film

Jon Turteltaub it's a small worldOn the day when the official 50th anniversary of the World’s Fair hit back in 1964, it has been officially announced that Disney is going to make a film based on “it’s a small world.” They have also found their director in Jon Turteltaub.

Deadline revealed on April 22, 2014, that Jon Turteltaub was officially hired to direct the film which is set to be based on the attraction and going on a script by Jared Stern.

Jon Turteltaub, Stern, and Dan Lin (“The Lego Movie”) will act as producers for the yet unnamed film based on it’s a small world.

As of now, there are no dates set for release or start of production, but it is being looked at as a possible franchise for Disney. There has also been no information regarding the plot or possible talent that could be in the film.

Jon Turteltaub is no stranger to Disney as he directed the first two “National Treasure” films and is currently working on a third with producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

One of the last things that Turteltaub has done was directing “Last Vegas” which ended up grossing $134 million worldwide.
