Walt Disney World is known for their timeless attractions and unique foods, but there is also more to the resort. Throughout Walt Disney World property, many of the bars, restaurants, and quick service places offer some delightful and delicious alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks.
As an annual passholder, many of these have already been enjoyed but now is the time to share with you some of the secrets. This will be a new installment on the website called “Walt Disney World: Drink of the Month” and different beverages and libations will be featured.
The first one is a non-alcoholic drink called the “Horseman’s Brew” sold at Sleepy Hollow Inn within the Magic Kingdom.
This is a frightfully delicious concoction tasty enough for all ages. Complete with your very own souvenir cup with the Headless Horseman and Ichabod Crane on each side of the mug, it is a refreshing drink to enjoy during a fun day at the park. Ice cold Odwalla lemonade topped with wildberry foam makes this beverage one to remember and also one not to be scared of. Who knew the Headless Horseman could create something so good?
My second selection is an alcoholic drink called the “Magical Star Cocktail” and can be found at various locations across the resort.
The one pictured was enjoyed at the Grand Floridian Cafe housed in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. This is a personal favorite and enjoyed immensely on all my trips. One particular fun thing to note about this drink is the glow cube included within the drink and that means you get another Disney souvenir. Hooray!
The cube changes to various colors so be sure to play around with it to find your favorite color or color combination. Sometimes, it can be quite hot and humid in the Sunshine State so this blend of fruit juices is perfect. X-Fusion liqueur (X-Rated Fusion liqueur is the brand name, but kept off the menu for obvious reasons), Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, pineapple juice, shaken to perfection and served on the rocks. There is also a nice leaf garnish as well.
