Hidden Treasures of Disney: Bob Jackson

If you haven’t seen Bob Jackson perform at Walt Disney World, you’re missing out on one of the best live performances on Disney property. Not to mention, a really unforgettable memory that every member of the family can enjoy.

Bob Jackson, also known as Yehaa Bob, is a piano player down at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort who plays at the River Roost Lounge.

As you can see by the pic, Yehaa Bob is also the recipient of Disney’s “Legacy” blue name tag.

The show begins at 8:30 p.m. every Wednesday through Saturday, but this isn’t your typical bar show. From the “Phineas and Ferb” and “SpongeBob” theme songs to “Sweet Caroline,” Bob Jackson’s music relates to all ages in the audience. He recently added new songs to his collection, including the Oscar winner “Let It Go.”

He engages everyone from the women and men to the young children. Each person in the crowd is called to do the Hokey Pokey or form a conga line around the room. Kids are asked to come up to the front of the stage more than once, making them part of the show.

Even a grumpy dad, like my own, was compelled to do the YMCA up in front of everyone and play an air guitar with all the men in the room.

After the show starts, every person who enters the bar is welcomed with open arms and brought right into the action, and that positive and magical atmosphere is the reason I go back and see Bob as often as I can.

If you happen to stop in and he asks you about his hair, just respond “it looks great, Bob.”
