If you’re going to be at Walt Disney World in October, then you’d better make sure that you take a little extra time to get to those dining reservations. The Disney Resort Monorail is going to work on a limited hours schedule beginning on Oct. 6, 2013, and lasting for a “couple of weeks.”
In order for some of the construction work to be done at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, the Resort Monorail beam is going to be shut down beginning at 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
For those staying at the Grand Floridian, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and Disney’s Polynesian Resort, there will be additional bus and boat transportation made available.
At this time, the reduced hours are expected to last at least two weeks, but Disney has not officially confirmed that. As always, check with Cast Members to be sure of when the Resort Monorail is up and running or not.
The Epcot and Express Monorail lines are not going to be affected by this.
