Epcot will see its signature attraction going down for a week-long refurbishment at the end of this summer. Spaceship Earth will indeed be closing for a week in August so you’ve got to hope it isn’t during your trip.
Spaceship Earth will see its refurbishment begin on Aug. 18, 2013 and the attraction will reopen on Aug. 26, 2013.
Seems as if it will be a tune-up and touch-up refurbishment with it being so short. At least, they better leave the smell of “Rome burning” alone.
