Today is the day for “The Lion King” wing to open at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, and that means three of the four sections are now fully rolling. That would be the three sections containing all suites at this Value Plus Disney Resort. Still scheduled to open on September 15, 2012 is the final wing of the resort and it is themed after “The Little Mermaid” and will contain all standard rooms.
So far, guests can walk along the outskirts of the wing, but not get anywhere really near it due to construction still going on. Pictures were taken though and you can check out how it will look along with the giant Ariel, King Triton, and Ursula figures.
