Haunted Mansion at the Magic Kingdom installs RFID FASTPass system

More changes are coming to the Haunted Mansion soon as many may have noticed a couple new additions near the very front entrance of the attraction. The setup for the RFID FASTPass readers are in place now, but have been covered with green tarps ever since being put in place.

A Cast Member at the Haunted Mansion advised that he isn’t totally sure when it will become operational, but it will likely be soon. He also told me that they put it up near the front because it just wasn’t in a functional place during an earlier trial where it was located near the front doors of the Haunted Mansion.

The readers will merely allow guests to flash their FASTPasses against a machine instead of making it necessary for a Cast Member to have to check every single ticket for times.

  1. I didn’t think Haunted Mansion had FASTpasses now, so this whole thing is new, right? (Not just the type of FASTpass, but the fact that there is a fast pass now)

    • There used to be a FASTPass system for the Haunted Mansion and the machines were located off to the left of where you first go to get into the queue line. Ever since the interactive queue opened though, the FASTPass system has been taken out.
