Dumbo now fully open and interactive queue available to be viewed in the Magic Kingdom – New Details on FASTPass

Last week, the Casey Jr. Splash N’ Soak Station in the Magic Kingdom opened up over in the Fantasyland Expansion. The walls were also taken down around the second carousel of Dumbo the Flying Elephant, but as of today – June 21, 2012 – guests are able to ride both sides.

Guests are able to enter the line on the right-hand side of the second Dumbo carousel and will follow the pathway to the indoor queue where signs and lights await them…as well as air conditioning. Inside is also the interactive portion of the queue which is the children’s playground, but it is only open randomly according to Cast Members so that training can be done.

Some new details revealed:

  • As shown in the pics below, it appears as if guests will be given pagers when their children play in the Dumbo circus-themed playground so they know when to return to the line.
  • Upon hitting the split in the line inside, guests will be directed to the right or left Dumbo carousel by a Cast Member. Most likely, one side will be designated to FASTPass once the system is fully operational.
  • FASTPass distribution for Dumbo – once in operation – will be in front of Mickey’s Philharmagic just like it used to be for The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.
